Technical Background: 

      Having great advantages such as high energy density, long service life and no memory effect, Lithium battery has been widely applied in the markets of cell phone, laptop, electric car and others. With the large demand for lithium battery, the capacity of lithium extraction from lithium ore is also increasing.

Technology introduction: 

      After accurate measurement, a certain amount of β-lithium pyroxene and concentrated sulfuric acid are fully mixed in a continuous non-gravity mixer, then the mixed material is sent into the acidizing furnace through the feed screw conveyor, and chemical reaction will be carried out under certain temperature and pressure environment.

      The screw at furnace outlet will take the acidified material into the rotary cooler to reach 80°C, to make sure the acidified material is ready for the next process. The high temperature acid gas generated during the acidizing process is exported from the furnace header conduit and sent to the exhaust recovery system for further treatment.

     The heat required for the acidification reaction is provided by the high temperature hot flue gas which was produced by the full combustion of the external fuel gas and air, and the flue gas is fully recycled in the process.

Advantages:
(1) Adopting external heated rotary acidifier to replace the original endothermic acidifier has greatly reduced the amount of flue gas and dust generated during the acidification process. This solves the problem of recycling sulfuric acid and dust from the waste gas in endothermic acidizing furnace, which increases the economic benefit, eliminates the emission of waste gas and waste water, and has significant contribution to environment protection.

(2)In response to the characteristics of lithium ore acidizing and roasting reaction, the external heat rotary furnace implements the external heating jacket only for the necessary part of the equipment, the subsequent reactions will be carried out spontaneously by using self-exothermic reaction without additional energy consumption, and the energy saving effect is remarkable.

(3)The heat transfer efficiency is high, the operating environment is good, and the cooling medium is easy to achieve heat recovery after heat transfer.
